how it works
what should we expect?
Treatments are designed to fit your child’s needs and are tailored to their comfort level. During the first visit we discuss your child’s or teen’s health concern, answer your questions and determine together which treatment method is best and most comfortable for you and your child/teen.
Acupuncture needles used in our clinic are designed specifically for children, providing a comfortable experience. Since most children respond well to acupuncture, only a few needles are typically needed. Depending on their age, needles are retained over shorter durations compared to adult treatments. Non-needling techniques
In addition to acupuncture, our clinic offers a Japanese form of treatment, known as Shonishin, which focuses on a gentle, specialized non-needling technique for children that stimulates specific points on the skin intended to fortify the child's vital energy systems to help the body's natural healing process.
Cupping, Chinese medical massage (tui na) and auricular acupressure are all offered at our clinic as well.
