how it works
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT WHEN it comes to chinese herbs:
During the herbal consultation a complete health history is taken in order to identify your differential diagnostic pattern in Chinese medicine, which is based on your signs and symptoms. An herbal formula is then crafted uniquely for you. Your customized formula is rooted in time tested classical formulas that were written thousands of years ago and modified based on present day and your individual pattern.
You have a choice to take herbs in the form of a capsule, tablet, tincture, granule/tea or raw/tea. We discuss how to administer the herbs and dosage. A follow up appointment is made generally after about 2 weeks to monitor your progress. Patients are encouraged to ask questions at any time.
We have selected herbal companies that meet FDA, Good Manufacturing Products (GMP) and that use quality control testing and research to ensure there are no impurities in the herbs.
We ask that patients consult with their doctors regarding their interest in taking Chinese herbs, especially if they are being treated for a specific health condition. Medications and allergies are also strongly taken into consideration. Certain herbs are contraindicated for patients who are pregnant or nursing and for patients on blood thinning drugs. Herbs are likely not an option for patients on transplant medications.
